DMG48480C021_03WTC round HMI demo
Eight screens that run on the display by themselves: no ESP32, no Arduino, nothing on the UART. Every touch writes a VP inside the screen, and the screen's own display controls redraw from it. Tap and drag on the round screen to try it.

Drag around the outer ring on Gauge, Climate and Light to turn the value like a knob. The ring is the round screen's main control.

Plan
What works without an MCU
- Touch writes VPs. Buttons, +/−, selectors, the keypad and the ring knob store their value in the screen's own memory.
- Display controls read VPs. Needles, arcs, numbers and pills redraw as soon as the value changes.
- Animations run by themselves. The splash orbit, "tap to start" blink and fan spin are Animation Icons.
- Power-on values come from the 22 init file, so every page opens with sensible numbers.
- Not possible alone: live sensor data, timers, auto page changes and if/then logic. Those need the T5L's own 8051 core (optional phase 5) or an MCU.
Build phases
- UI sign-off on this prototype. Change anything you want now.
- Asset script renders the 8 backgrounds and every icon frame at 480×480, like build_dgus_assets.py.
- DGUS project: ICL files, controls, 22 init file and CFG, plus a build guide with every X/Y/VP.
- Hardware test on the module from an SD card.
- Optional: an auto-demo loop in C51 on the T5L's built-in core. That still uses no external MCU.
Check on the module first
- Flash size, which sets the free ICL slots.
- Whether DGUS Tool V7.6 offers Rotary adjustment for T5L. If not, the ring becomes +/− buttons with hold-to-repeat.
- Whether a touch control may write backlight VP 0x0082 (About page).
- Fan: three stacked Animation Icons, one per speed. Confirm only the active one draws.
- The factory T5LCFG file for this exact panel (display timing).
